Rachel Demma is currently the Policy Director at the Early Care and Education Consortium.  Previously, she served as Manager of School Achievement with Baltimore City Public Schools’ Office of Achievement and Accountability, a Senior Policy Analyst with the National Governors Association’s Center for Best Practices, a Senior Policy Associate with the American Public Human Services Association, and a Program Analyst with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Administration for Children and Families. Rachel has also served on boards for several organizations, including the Thurgood Marshall Child Care and Development Center and Episcopal Community Services of Maryland. She holds a B.A. from Washington College on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, an M.A. from Stanford University’s School of Education, and a post-graduate certificate from the Johns Hopkins University School of Education’s Mind, Brain, and Teaching program. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Education (Ed.D.) at the University of Pennsylvania.
